Voting and Elections

In order to be eligible to vote in the Municipality of Emerson-Franklin you must be:
At least 18 years old, a Canadian Citizen, and a resident of the Municipality of Emerson-Franklin or a registered owner of the property in the Municipality for at least 6 months prior to the election.

If you're temporarily absent from the Municipality (extended vacation, studying, etc.) and haven't established permanent residency elsewhere or been added to another municipality's voting list, you are still eligible to vote in the Municipality of Emerson-Franklin.

The next General Municipal Election will be held on October 28th,2026. If you meet the criteria of a voter and aren't sure if you are on the voter's list, you can fill out the voter registration form on our website!
